
Gran Master Yoshihide Shinzato
Born: 15 / march / 1927 in Okinawa, Japan, was a disciple of Master Ambun Tokuda and his death during the 2nd World War, became a pupil of Choshin Chibana and after the death of continued training with Master Miyahira. Trained Kobu-Do under Master Shikan Akamine, Masahiro Nakamoto and Katsuyoshi Kanei, receiving the category of the Master Hanshi Katsuyoshi Kanei in November 1993, also trained with Judo Teacher Itokazu during high school. He even trained in Brazil, Goju-Ryu Karate-Do under Master Shikan Akamine. Master Yoshihide Shinzato immigrated to Brazil on 15 January 1954 and has taught Karate-Do in your home for the young Japanese colony. On January 25, 1954 did demonstrate Karate-Do Ibirapuera Park, together with the folklore groups from Okinawa and his brother Yuzo, to celebrate the 400 year anniversary of the city of Sao Paulo. On June 03, 1962, founded the estuary of Karate-Do in St. Brás Cubas em Santos-SP in 1970 and changed its name to Association Okinawa Shorin-Ryu Karate-Do Brazil. In 1976 created the Union Shorin-Ryu Karate-Do in Brazil and in 1992 founded the International Union Shorin-Ryu Karate-Do Federation.

His method of tuition is based on the philosophy of Budo, sports development and social life, aiming to create a man so useful to society and the family. A karatedoka with strong body and mind balanced. Mestre Shinzato died on January 13, 2008.
