Samurais

Samurai means "That one who serves." They were the elite warrior of feudal Japan, their masters were the feudal lords, founded lineages, only became samurai who was the son of samurai, ie title passing from generation to generation. They were not afraid of death, for killing was part of their obligations, as they had to defend their masters or his honor or reputation of the clan. Case, were to fail or commit any act of dishonor, his ritual was to commit suicide (kiri or seppuku).

The samurai were governed by principles of honor, known as bushido (way of the warrior) which had as basic principles: honor, loyalty and courage. The samurai outfit consisted basically of two swords: one major (katana) and a smaller (Wakisashi) attached to Obi (belt that holds the kimono).

In battles revered gods, cited their deeds before the fight, they shook hands, and the achievement of his army. Outside of the battles were involved in cultural activities. The tea ritual is a heritage of the samurai, where the tea is not only a spiritual activity, when there was a truce in the war, went to the tea rooms to relax and enjoy the moment.
